Motherhood Is Hard

To all the new Moms,

Thank you for creating life. It is the most miraculous, beautiful thing a woman can do in this world. Thank you for loving your little ones with all your heart and for all the countless times you have been so selfless for them. It's no surprise that your sacrificial love can lead to sleep deprivation, hardly any time for yourself, missing out on certain activities, and a much harder time making room for prayer. Motherhood is HARD. It pushes you to your limits. It can strain your marriage. It tests your patience, causes tears and can bring out the worse in us. It is a constant juggle between dying to self and caring for self. And seeing our little hearts running around can cause anxiety and vulnerability like we've never felt before... It's even harder to be a mother in today's world. Morals and values are diminishing and the world doesn't feel as safe. Mothers feel more isolated than ever, especially the moms who choose to stay at home. In fact, more mothers are working outside the home. This is either because they choose to or because they have to. Today there are LOADS of information on how to raise your kids. You are given advice or bombarded by countless online articles and videos sharing their "best" advice on parenting. Motherhood IS hard...yes... but the journey is truly BEAUTIFUL. It is a journey filled with GIGGLES & SMILES, WONDER & ADVENTURE, and HUGS & KISSES. It is filled with loads of precious memories that leave their footprints on the world and in our hearts. Let's not forget that being a mother can change us for the better, and in most cases IT DOES. Being mothers can mature us, make us more wise, make our hearts bigger, more compassionate, more loving, and more patient. Being a mother can certainly break us down at times, but if we lean on God, He can mold us and shape us into better people. Becoming a mother is WORTH IT in every way. The world may not admit it, but you have the hardest, most rewarding, BEST job there ever was and is. You said yes to life. Thank you.
